In Autumn 2024 there was an exhibition of many of Benhard Kolberg's remarkable collection of machine timpani. This was at the Grassi Museum in Leipzig. I went over and met Tom Greenleaves of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra and Leonardo Soto of the Houston Symphony to have a look around. You can watch our one-hour YouTube livestream here.
